What I Wear To Work

The sun has been hiding behind the clouds and trust me I'm not complaining, the heat is way reduced and the weather has been blissful.

I'm so excited about today's post and yes I teased the picture on Twitter and Instagram @gehnuywhine and @ohahanyohe respectively. There's this article series in the ASOS Magazine entitled What I Wear To Work featuring amazing young professionals and their extremely stylish work clothes, those articles inspired me to write this post. So lets get started,

Erm... I look out my window and look as Nigerian's make their way to work and yes I have seen some outrageous things but when I see professionals like when I visit the Bank, seriously its like a sea of BLACK, GREY and NAVY (sorry for the shouting capitals). Yes I know Black is my favourite colour and I love the different shades of Grey and Navy I'm a little iffy about, but really though why can't Work clothes be a little more fun and a lot more stylish.

I know I haven't told you guys yet that in the last couple of months I registered my business with the Corporate Affairs Commission and I had a meeting with a representative of amazing dress designer JOVANI and became a licensed retailer for JOVANI. Thus, Style by Ohaha my special events dress store was born. Style by Ohaha is a specialized shopping experience. email dresses@stylebyohaha  for a personalised shopping experience...

So here are a couple of pictures of What I Wear To Work.

Here's a list of the outfit:

Shirt is EVAN-PICONE
Pants are ASOS
Shoes are STEVEN by STEVE MADDEN

Can I just say how in love I am with the dusty blue of the pants and the basket detail of the shoes at a certain whimsy and so does the KEKE NAPEP in the background.....

Tweet at me and instagram me pictures of what you wear to work using #reggandregina #whatiweartowork . can't wait to see them.....

FESTIVAL TO EVERY DAY

Soooo, around the world festival season is over (by festivals I mean music and art festivals like Coachella, Lagos jazz festival etc.). Sad but true. We all love shopping for festivals right; the hats and shorts and temporary tattoos and the jewellery (rings and cuffs and body chains), the music the air of creativity...... Does that have to end?

This post is about working your festival essentials into your every day wardrobe. Here are a couple of pictures and then we'll talk....

Pair a fringe lose tank with a leather skirt and some plimsolls which I teased on Instagram (the plimsolls are Madden Girl by Steve Madden) and then layer three necklaces and an ear cuff. You can also pair these with a pair of really cute court shoes and a structured hand bag....

The next outfit is one of my favourite dresses, the stripes are so cool and it is paired with a festival favourite, kimono long line jackets and with some really cute sandals (sandals are MIA) and the sunnies and the rings are asos . (don't ya just love the car behind me?)

N.B
Nigerians.... when you see a chick taking pictures in the middle of the street she is not looking for a taxi and please do not stare...... hey I love my people.

REVAMP REVAMP I'M BACK

Okay okay, I know I have said I'm back a couple of times but this time I mean it. I was away on Vacay and if I were a normal being I would have posted about my vacation, but I'm not normal as previously established .

Well, I am back and from the title and my tweets you know that Reggie and Regina is getting revamped. The original purpose of Reggie and Regina was to embrace and highlight the complexities and layers of a woman's style and so we are going back to that original purpose and so it going to be awesome . I will try to post more often and keep the posts fresh.

Todays blog post will be about working one piece perhaps a dress or a jacket into two or three more outfits using accessories and of course we will be doing this Reggie and Regina style. Check out my Instagram @ohahanyohe to see my layers.....

Todays blog post will feature two dresses worked into two outfits and one is Reggie and the other is Regina .

The first dress is a navy blue lace dress with a faux pearl peter pan collar, I love that dress. the length is just right above the knee and so its still short but with a sophisticated edge. In the first outfit it was paired with a beaded hair crown to add a bit of jewellery (did I tell you I'm not a huge fan of jewellery; I only do ear cuffs and rings), a dark blue had bag with gold accents and for a pop of colour pink court shoes and those shoes match the bag as they too have a gold bar on the heel (a part of New Look's shoe collection which I looove). So Regina is it not?

In the next outfit the navy lace dress was paired with brown combat boots (yes boots make a reoccurrence..... can't help myself), a gold ear cuff and a backpack that I am obsessed with the brown highlights and the tribal print and then fringe just make that backpack steal-able and it also has gold hardware in the studs...... I'm in love.

The next two outfits have the same base of a wine short dress (also slightly above the knee) and in the first outfit it is paired with a flower hair crown (yes hair crowns are my new addiction) which adds a whimsical element to the look but for some edge a spiky silver ear cuff is added for some jewellery and a clutch purse with a big silver buckle in sky blue just adds that pop of colour... and black heels tie the look together.

In the next outfit the red dress is paired with an oversized leather jacket which has sequins on the top for some pizazz and a hat in black and burgundy make it so rock and roll. A pair of healed booties add some glam and sophistication to the look and I am so in love with slouchy bags add that for that effortless look.....

So that's how you make variety with a basic in your closet......

leave your comments, share, email me pictures of you trying this out, I want to see them.

love ya.............
